Were you having to swallow your own puke to eat it? That's what happens to me.

Plenty of times when I was trying to gain weight.

Normally I wouldn't act like such a hardass when you're this uncomfortable about something but eating vegetables is something every human being should do.

You should just accept that sometimes you need to eat things you don't want to.

Cottage cheese used to be a popular bodybuilder food before bedtime. The first time I opened a container I literally gagged. After a while it became tolerable.

Multivitamins certainly work, but the quality is variable because regulation is lax and your body doesn't utilize 100% of the pill (to be fair, your body doesn't utilize 100% of anything you eat).

Most of the B-vitamins are indeed immediately excreted by the kidneys, but that's supposed to happen when you take that much in a condensed form like that.

IMO, it's still wise to take a multi to make sure you won't have any vitamin-deficient problems. They're safe to take on a regular basis and are inexpensive.

The inexpensive ones have inferior nutrient sources in the forms of carbonates and oxides, which are less bioavailable. Personally, I buy an expensive brand that I take very infrequently when I'm in a rush and don't have fruits or veggies at hand. Don't rely on vitamins.

You don't have to do the "core" lifts all the time unless you compete in powerlifting. Otherwise, you can mix them up with dumbbell pressing, incline benching, good mornings, etc. (if you lift in a commercial gym it's harder to come up with squat variations using different specialty bars so I would stick with good old barbell squats, though).

Some random unorthodox exercises I like: Tate press, Savickas press, death press, Y press, 1- minute chin-ups, and RKC planks.

Okay, just watched the whole dashcam footage. That was all your fault. I revoke my prior sympathy, although I think 60 days in jail is too harsh.

Acknowledging that and the fact that you have mental issues that cause you to be needlessly abrasive in normal society, it would have been great if the cop went above and beyond his paygrade and managed to talk you down somehow. For example, your feelings got hurt when the cop was annoyed and asked "Does this make sense to anyone?" so you escalated further. You're the one with thin skin here and that's on you, but there could have been a way for the officer to defuse you going off your rocker by recognizing this manic person he's dealing with and use psychologically softer rhetoric that's firm while not being entirely argumentative. So I guess I do have sympathy insofar as wanting you to get help for yourself, not because your behavior was in anyway justified.

Two cents from someone who's dated a bipolar person before.

I had sympathy for you at first because all too often the little guy ends up being crushed by "the system" in more ways than one, but at one point the cop told you he's outright ordering you to leave (not just giving you "the freedom to"). They were there doing their job and it was undeniable you were interrupting their work by continuing to talk in circles.

Still, I don't think you should go to jail for 60 days for it.

It's valid to say that he shouldn't have kept reaching for the ID. But the cop should be trained to deescalate. This guy was trying to comply, was probably a little nervous and couldn't react instantaneously, and at the same time is trying to process what the cop is telling him. Ordering him to get the ID and then to NOT reach for the ID is going to confuse someone for a split second. Tell him what to do like stop moving or put your hands on the wheel, not what not to do (since the latter contradicts the previous order to get the ID).

100 percent on the cop.

Good luck sir.

For sure it will be awkward. But know what would be more awkward? Being weak everywhere and letting over a decade of work disappear.

Either way it sucks, there's no way to avoid that with a major injury. It's all about cutting losses and exercising a scrappy fortitude.

This is going to sound melodramatic but I feel like it's an extension of right after the injury when I was fighting to get seen by a surgeon and call after call was getting me nowhere with my piss-poor insurance. It was really depressing and it took a certain mindset of attacking all obstacles with everything I have to not get overwhelmed with stress. Same forward momentum applies to training.

Thanks for the goodwill.
